never been shroom hunting before

Hey ive never been hunting for shrooms before, i thought that most that grew in the wild were deadly, so, when do you go, and what times and all that, any help will be greatly appriciated, p.s once i find em how do i know if they have enough spores to take a print? thanks again

check out cow fields after heavy rains, i'm not sure about tx but thats how it is around florida

Taking a print is the easy part, just cut the stem off the mushroom and place on a white piece of paper. Cover with a cup or bowl, and place in a safe place for a few hours.
Now finding them is a the fun part, a little harder but alot more fun. use the search button on this board, to find out what grows in your area.
THen Let the hunt begin!!!
A sport that you will soon learn follwes you everwere you go, even if it is to the store, youll find yourself looking in the gress.. heeee.
