ABOUT ME (if you don't have time the main points are in bold at the bottom)
I have always considered myself to be really smart since childhood, and among others I usually felt like I had to dumb myself down a little to enjoy their humor and opinions. I always was sociable and fit in, but I only was able to have a few good discussions with "nerdy" people with science and stuff. So as far as expressing my thoughts to others, I couldn't really and mostly keep it to myself until it comes up in conversation and I just end up saying "No, actually it's like this.." so I come off as a know it all to people that aren't my friends.
Anyways..My whole life I have been a big thinker, always trying to figure everything out, and perfect everything I knew. I always liked drawing and could sketch good while looking at pictures. Always big into technology, I could program qbasic when I was really young. And programmed my own pong game I remember in 3rd grade. Couldn't do still life's well. As far as guitar I learned to play well but never felt creative as others. I figured I just wasn't the creative type because the rest of my family isn't.
So I developed my skills but lacked creativity. So I have this big analytical, science, math, logic brain, with limited creativity. I always found it strange how I didn't understand poetry at all when others could. I was confused because I thought I was really "smart."
So I started smoking weed in 12th grade, drank a lot too at parties. I didn't really learn anything from the weed, and never did anything besides sit around and watch tv. It really wasn't that good either anyways lol. Went to college for a year and took some art classes and learned to draw a lot better, still never felt too creative. Smoked several times every day and got wasted a few times every week. Long story short I failed and left with a possession/smoking ticket and an underage.
But the second to last day before I left college.. I took shrooms for my very first time (I'm going to keep this short, we all know the crazy stuff that can happen). I was around 4 grams of cubs. Went to the beach, it was timeless and infinite, I couldn't believe it. I felt like I was in a Dali painting. I felt like a was seeing through god's eyes or something. The "rainbow" colors I finally understood. I got back to the dormitory and walked to my room while the walls were spinning around me. Then I woke up in a chair with my friends around me and I was drooling, it felt like I had been somewhere for a week. My mind had been blown straight outta my ass, I got brain-fucked to the extreme. It felt like I had the whole was universe inside my head.
Since then I have done shrooms and acid a few times, but nothing comparing to that experience at all. Just mild visuals mostly. I am waiting for the right time for another large dose.
It is now about a year later and in the past few months I feel I am still learning from that trip. My mind has become extremely creative, but I maintain all of the logical thinking I used to have as well. I can draw amazing sketches and I have been writing music that I couldn't have ever done before. I have noticed since I have been getting more serious about my art and music I have had a boost in my ability to tap into my "imination" or right side of my brain
The big effects on my life I understand much more about the universe
Altogether feel like there is more "bandwidth" coming through my senses, not smell... I have allergies haha.
I enjoy life more, the small things and living in the moment.
I notice more that there is an infinite amount of possibilities and we are a little piece of the puzzle, each piece make the whole picture (maybe you understand my mario picture now? )
I have noticed the ridiculous attachment people have to fads, how fake TV is (I stopped watching it completely) and how media effects society directly.
I really get how stupid it is to judge and hate now. I really bothers me when people try to shed their insecurities by making fun of others for the same thing. If everyone pushes someone down to get up, the world is gonna goto hell.
My imagination is much more vivid and my drawing and music have become MUCH better. I had the skills but not the creativity to back them, now I do.
It is a gift, from an ass-kicking of the shrooms. I just wish more people knew. It didn't TELL me how things are, but it gave me the ability to think for myself. Not how society, schooling and parents taught me to.
