Some paper. Not extremely informative though...

I'm wondering why you're interested in Lycan. Searle is a major player in AI & Philosophy of Mind, but I can hardly find anything on Lycan (just references in a couple of books of mine).

Lycan is a compatibilist (soft determinism). Searle believes in true free will, which I like... but his Chinese Room thought experiment is seriously flawed. Free will cannot be proven with talk.
