Ah, I missed that.  Well in the case of cubes, potency usually comes from genetics as well as it's density, and I can't say for sure that this is the case for this mushroom...but there's only one way to find out. :grin:

Leucistic characteristic, huh? I came across a thread where that came up and I really didn't really understand what the point was. If this is something that people are freaking out over how rare and potent it is though, the least I can do for the Shroomery is try and take a spore print and see what I can get, who knows.

Looks like I'll be doing some reading on spore prints. I hope it can wait until tomorrow night though, I have way too much shit to do tonight. Homework... :mad2:

Actually, if I just tore off a bit of the stem and threw it into one of my uncolonized rye jars, I would eventually get clones of this mushroom, right? I might just do that, sounds a lot easier and The shroomy 1 said his spore prints all contaminated.

It's not the print that you should be concerned about... It's the ability to clone it.  Don't get me wrong, print the damn thing, but you want to get that on agar if possible.

just looks like lack of pigment. also looks like super low humidity or moisture since they are scaly.

The Texan strain apparently tends to be slightly on the potent side. The albino factor, is more for collectors, and really has nothing to do with potency. But it does look like it could have used a bit more FAE..

Cut it down and mail it to me I will bring the dried sample back to life on an agar plate..

Hell, He could lay it on it's side and slice it into dozens of 1/16" rings.  That would give lots of experienced people an opportunity to "work it" on agar.
