i don't really follow baseball. But without a cap you can buy championship in baseball.9 times out of 10

It's not just the SB wins its the fact this franchise stuck with players and coaches. Looked out for their players and the player loyalty to the franchise. Steelers are not a show boat flashy AD campaign, like the cowboys. It's a team that's gets good players on a real budget and has great record in SB 6-1.

If you where to copy a franchise to model your team by. This should be it. No hype no big contract to player that don't deliver. Low cost high return. And as a player and coach; owners who don;t throw you under the bus.

i'm just saying everytime the steelers go dime, teams get big plays off it. The D thought the game was over and relaxed. Never do that aginst a team that lives on big plays.

Wrong.  I did a quickie search and found this compilation for 2001 through 2005.  I did not select this for favorable years or anything, it was just the top link in a search of "payroll rank of world series teams"
http://morehardball.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
The evaulation of payroll and winning baseball continues. The following is a list of the 40 playoff teams over the last 5 years and their MLB payroll rank.

2005 rank avg - 8
St. Louis 6
San Diego 16
Houston 12
Atlanta 10
Anaheim 4
New York 1
Boston 2
Chicago 13 winner

2004 rank avg - 7.8
New York 1
Minnesota 19 (2nd in division)
Boston 2 winner
Anaheim 3
St. Louis 11
Los Angeles 7
Houston 12
Atlanta 8

2003 rank avg - 12.5
New York 1
Minnesota 19 (1st in division)
Boston 6
Oakland 24
Florida 27 winner
San Francisco 9
Chicago 10
Atlanta 4

2002 rank avg - 13.125
Anaheim 15 winner
New York 1
Minnesota 27
Oakland 28
San Francisco 10
Atlanta 7
St. Louis 13
Arizona 4

2001 rank avg - 10.75
New York 1
Oakland 29
Seattle 11
Cleveland 5
Arizona 8 winner
St. Louis 9
Atlanta 6
Houston 17

Average payroll rank of winner: 16.  Right smack in the middle.  There is also this:
http://dberri.wordpress.com/2006/09/07/payroll-and-wins-in-major-league-baseball/
Quote:
Overall, payroll explains about 24% of winning percentage in baseball this year, a result similar to what we found when we examined this relationship over the past several years.

This is the only sentence you should ever write about baseball:
Quote:
i don't really follow baseball.

Just say "no" to writing anything else.

It could be called a forward pass but since it was called fumble on the field I don't think it would get overturned.

They don't call grounding if the motion is disrupted unless he's obviously throwing into the ground/nothing.
Once again you show that you don't know squat.

Its not my fault if you were too drunk to see it or had already turned the game off and then listened to what happened the next day on the mnorning zoo or what...but the ball Warner threw on his last play of the game was to fucking no one.

The only reason he let go of the ball was to stop the clock

He figures this is the last play of the game, he's going for a hail mary, there's not an eligible soul within thirty yards and he rears back as far as possible and puts everything he has into that throw.

So yeah, Kurt Warner was trying to throw into the ground when he knows absolutely for a fact that he will be penalized.

Not that he was being mangled by two three hundred pound lineman because his line couldn't stop a three man rush or anything.
Nope, not at all.

You fail so miserably at sports it's funny, just stop.
