You can, and for some reason there seem to be a ton of posts about people trying it recently in the PE forum.

It's not something you should do more than once in a long while, as using it very often puts a heavy load on your liver and can lead to the developement of fatty deposits on the surface of the liver. This is not a good thing.

Eating 2-4 freshly-ground nutmegs produces an experience that I find very similar to cannabis. The main differences are that it takes many hours to kick in, it lasts a long long time (18-36+ hours depending on a lot of different variables), and your burps will have the awful soapy taste of too much nutmeg.

Yes, you need to grind them up fresh.  Typical reports are of one day of delirium with an hour to two peak.  The next two days are generally described as miserable.  IMHO not worth the recovery period.  Crack sounds better and with a faster recovery period.

I agree with pfxtc...there is no comparison to DXM.  On the other hand I agree with the guy because I would so much rather do DXM than nutmeg but that's because I love DXM.

I'm tired of people playing off DXM as it's just a toy or something when infact it can produce a trip much more powerful then most mushroom/lsd trips.

Yes definately.  It's a dissociative too...not a psychedelic.  very different experience.  Good to mix with Salvia and weed but not a combo for the inexperienced!

Salvia is not something to be taken lightly and I myself dislike the publicity it has recieved lately but it is truely an awesome and powerful experience for someone of the right mind for it.  It's one of my favorites.  5-HTP + DXM + Salvia + Weed + Tongue piercing = The most powerful and amazing trip of my life.
