fermenting shroomy tea!!!

Hi all!
Lib cap season is drawing to an end hear in mery old englad.
after finding a nice feild with a plentiful supply i dried 120 on a low heat in the oven, they beacame cracker dry after a while, but they also went brown-black.
This is different to when i have dried them using deicant and they have gone a light brown.
Do any of you guys have any experience with this, are the mushrooms still safe, potent?

Also i tried making tea from 200 caps, and then put it in a bottle in a cool place, a few days later when i opened the bottle there was a fizz and im guessing the tea is fermenting!!!
will this still be safe to drink? ill feel like such a fool if i find out ive wasted 200 of the poor little guys!!!

Heat is a pretty big no-no when it comes to psilocybes I'm afraid. I guess you'll have to try them and find out, but I would assume they've lost a great deal of their potency.
There shouldn't be anything dangerous about ingesting fermented tea, if you can handle the taste!
