Mescaline is a very stable chemical so as long as you keep it away from pro longed excessive heat and out of the sun and UV lights you shouldn't worry about loosing any potency. I heard something about >1000 year old peyote buttons that were still active

The potency isn't going to go away, as others mentioned. The stuff will go bad and ferment in tea form though, so you can stick it in the fridge for probably up to a week max. Any longer would require freezing. Or just make it when you're going to take the stuff.

lol no i mean the fridge i also keep tar extract diluted into water so it was nolonger tar but a cactus extract and water solution and that lasted 2 weeks my friend just used it. i keep a ayahuasca brew i a fridge some where and a main component is cactus and even after 3 months if i have a cup i feel and taste the cactus and any one else who drinks from it
