Grow Video Tutorials!

What I'd really like to see is the Shroomery creating easy, step-by-step gif-slideshow/flash/video tutorials on mushroom growing, and offering these for download.

Plenty of teks were spawned on our boards, including really good ones. Why not immortalize them in a tutorial that can for instance be a gif-slideshow, an interactive Flash-movie or even a video presentation?
These will soon take on a life of their own online and show up just about anywhere.

We have people who can make such a thing, we have people able to do translation work if we want that, and I believe it fits the philosophy of the Shroomery.

For the sake of people on dialup I would prefer a gif-slideshow or flash-movie to a video version. Back in the day of 56K a mere 5MB was a *big* deal. Because of law issues the mushrooms worked with will ofcourse be culinary varieties.

Let's inoculate the world!

Sorry!!!! I decided to reply to this message rather than start a new thread. The reasoning? I'm not really a credible expert nor a respected member. Those who replied and created this thread are.

Again, I'm sorry for replying to an old post, but I was just wondering; why wasn't this idea acted upon further? It would make mushroom cultivation more accessable to the simple-minded, help prevent confusion using any techniques and provide an easy medium to reasearch and learn about mushrooms. It even opens the possibility of "group" research(I'm sure some of you know what I mean). Isn't the goal of the shroomery to provide accurate information about all things relevant to psychoactive 'shrooms? To prevent misinformation about such fungi!? I would just like to know how this idea slipped through the cracks. There are many marijuana grow DVDs and video's easily either purchasable or downloadable from the internet. The shroomery, as far as I am concerned, is the number one source(alongside with mushroom john) for information, pictures and also has an extremely knowledgable and friendly community. I would love to see this video thing happen, and would be even more enthusiastic about contributing! The whole reason I decided to comment about this is because I had always thought about producing my own series in the future. What really sparked my interest in the shroomery possibly getting together to work on the idead was when I heard about Urban Grower , a web show about medical marijuana grows in MY area!! I couldn't beleive I hadn't heard about it before. Anyways, I hope there's some valid reasoning why this hasn't been mentioned more. Afterall, it's legal to grow mushrooms in many places!

decent, not too shabby - these don't do it justice. i played the whole thing in the background while i did something else, that is an awesome video. it has everything in it, and it's over an hour long!

plus i learnt something new, a roll of duck tape as an alternative thing to whack jars against for grain separation. a tyre is supposed to be ideal, i always use my leg, the tape is a great idea  :thumbup:

i had the sound off, just kept lookin up to check the subject matter -very impressive, one minute he's birthing a cake, another time he's explaining multispore vs cloning.....

if i'd had this resource when i did my first grow, it would have helped me out bigstyle.

I think we are free to use that grow video. A link somewhere on the Shroomery would be a good idea. Not everyone will search google video in search for a grow tutorial video.

I was just wondering, if the video in the link above is considered a good guide for beginners or not. I liked it but I am totally new to this subject and I read elsewhere on the forum that it contains a lot of bad ideas. I am confused now...

Anybody out there who can clear things up for me?
