Had a surgery today (skin cancer)

I FINALLY had surgery to remove a "moderate dysplastic nevus" today. A dysplastic nevus is an early sign of skin cancer. If you have one, there is a decent(50%-75%) chance it will turn into melanoma. Melanoma is full blown skin cancer, which can turn into any other kind of cancer if it spreads. It is the most deadly form of skin cancer. 

Luckily my doctor caught it early. She took out a football shaped chunk of my back that is about 1 inch long and half an inch wide/tall. They numbed me up pretty damn well so I didn't feel anything. The doc ended up giving me a total of about 6 stitches(2 internal and 4 external). They're disolvable stitches so it shouldn't be a problem.

The lidocane wore off a few hours ago, and honestly, it doesn't hurt at all. Just itches, which is 100% normal for a healing wound

Bottom line though: No skin cancer... FUCK YEAH! :grin:

That's really awesome that you caught it early and have had it taken care of already.  Gotta keep this Shroomerite family alive and well.  :heart:
