NYS troopers

just wanted to spread the word...

i was pulled over yesterday on a NYS highway, literally for no reason.  the guy followed me for about 10 minutes as i cruised along EXACTLY at 55mph.  he found that my vehicle inspection was outdated, and wrote me a ticket.

today i call the DMV, and it sounds like he didn't even submit the ticket to the registrar.

wth?!?!?!

SO - be careful and dun drive around stoned outta your mind, at least in NYS.  it sounds like cops are beginning to take the initiative to pull people over for 'no reason whatsoever', just to make sure shit is alright.

yeah NYS troopers are fuckin assholes. if only i could actually do something about it. I'd love to kick one of them in the nads and run away (only if i knew id get away w/ it tho) - thatd be fuckin awesome. Maybe steal their gun and fuck with em a bit, then shoot his dick and run... some shit like that.

I was driving home on the NYS thruway yesterday and went over the tappan zee bridge. A trooper was following me, so i obeyed the laws. then he sped around me, pulled up behind a truck and tailgated him. the trucker obviously couldnt see the trooper cuz it was an 18-wheeler and the second the trucker did something remotely close to wrong, he got pulled over. fuckin pigs. :piggy:

Cops are generally assholes everywhere.

Rhode Island is the worst. I was speeding on a State Highway in RI and I got pulled over. This cop took his sweet time writing me an $85 ticket for 15 over the speed limit. Once that was settled, I needed to make up some time so I was cruising 5 over the speed limit now. Not 10 minutes later I get pulled over by another State cop and got another $85 ticket and this cop took even longer!

Made it to my destination 45 mins late and with $170 in tickets. What a day.

To the OP, are you sure he didn't see your inspection sticker first?  They make 'em a different color every year.  I got pulled over for the same bullshit a year ago.  Doesn't seem very likely that you'd get pulled over for no reason at all.  You're not black, right?

What was the cop's reasoning for pulling you over? 

Inspection stickers change color each year, so its easy to spot if your inspection is up.

yeah, fuck this situation. Its awful. People that never do anything wrong are made to feel criminal. When your getting pulled over for no reason you feel like your about to get your ass handed to you. Even when im not doing anything wrong i still get that feeling when i see those lights. I got pulled over so often where i lived (without getting ticketed no less) that i moved from that locality to someplace, lets just say, a little more colorful.

Ha, me and you wouldn't have any problems, but think about this. I seriously doubt that 30% of vehicles in wayne county would pass an ontario or californian emissions test, much less a road worthy-nes inspection.  You would have to immediately have to revoke the tabs on 95% of cars owned by detroit residents.

Im not exaggerating.

out here none of that stuff, no emissions, inspections, safety
checks, if it's blowing thick black smoke and has no brakes, you
can drive it as long as it has insurance and a tag
