whats up with Palin first names?

Trig?

and now Bristol's son, Tripp?

Can someone please explain to me the significance behind these moronic names?

Considering Tripp was a result from an unplanned pregnancy from a 17 year old, is kind of pathetic, I think. It's going to be Tripp's constant reminder that he was an accident, IMO at least.

I dont belive you've quite caught on to the whole concept of the
17yo is or was just recently pregnant, and trip is like 2 years
old now while bristol is still 17

I like how Frank Zappa named his kids: Dweezil, Moon Unit, Ahmed Emuukha Rodan and Diva Muffin.

George Foreman named all five of his sons George.  I think that's lame.  I had heard he also named his five daughters George but apparently this is untrue.

What is the significance behind your run-of-the-mill name? (I assume if you were named Moon Unit you would see no need to ask this)
