Bourbon is the ultimate drink. Your thoughts?

I just can't get enough of the stuff. I shouted myself a few bottles for the Xmas period and I'm damn convinced that bourbon is the best alcoholic drink avaliable.



Haven't cracked the Rare Breed open yet but felt I needed to buy/drink some Makers Mark before I finished the bottle of Booker's which is $90/bottle here in Australia :eek: Tasty though.

So what does the Pub drink?

i consume on average 4 dark delicious beers every day 7 days a week. making my yearly beer consumption average come out to roughly $1500.

i just cant drink anything else really. no hard liquor for me! ive had wild turkey though which is some good stuff ill agree!

it is an utter outrage.

I dont like bourbon much.. im a schotch man when it comes to whiskey. But no cheap whiskey please..

If its going to be cheap it may as well be beer or goon and if I drink beer my favourite beers are tooheys old, extra dry, and carlton cold and carlton black, and people give me a hard time about that. I just realised now that my favourite beers are the dry and dark/black beers (...not guinness).

but I like to mix my drinks up
i like mixed drinks
coctails
liquers
i love a few shots of good brandy if the time is right for it
wine
champagne

mix it all up and it is better for you.. because your body/brain starts to make associations with your beverages when you drink them often.

its good to try new alcoholic drinks youve never tried before because they dont have much of an association linked to them and you will most likely get drunk more easily and more of a happy drunk

Is it 8 percent proof or 8 percent alcohol? Because if it was proof then it would be about 4% alcohol. Its says 8 percent alc/vol which makes me think its not proof, but that would just be crazy.

Personally my favorite drink is Jack Daniels.. god I love me some of that whiskey. Sooooo good :drooling:. I like Bourbon too, just, not as much... :cheers:

Bourbon whiskey is good.  Rye whiskey is also good, less popular for some reason.  However, neither hold a candle to the greatest spirit of all... Tequila.

After you get the first hurricane down, they're a LOT easier to get down.
It almost tastes like a whiskey, it's pretty sweet tasting. I personally only like it after my second one. I HATE the first one :lol:
