In two minds about a new monitor.

I need a new flatscreen monitor for my PC. Now I plan to do some semi professional/ professional graphic (print) work in the future, so I need a good screen for that purpose, something around 20" would suit my needs.

The options I'm currently debating are either an Apple Cinema screen, which is a good all purpose screen and --believe it or not-- the less expensive option, or an Eizo or LaCie screen which have superior color reproduction but slower response time, so it may be less fit for gaming/watching video in my spare time. Either way, I would also need a color calibrator to go with it.

What are your experiences with these screens? Is the Apple screen up to the task of professional color reproduction? Are current IPS screens fast enough to play a game or watch a movie without ghosting?

And does anybody know which technology Apple Cinema Screens use? They call it "Active Matrix" which as far as I can tell means "TFT" and nothing more.
