hot rod deville 212

so a guy from craigslist is stopping over hopefully tomorrow with a fender hot rod deville 212 for sale. He's charging 450 with a speaker upgrade, i can't remember what they were though. I was planning on upgrading the tubes and speakers eventually anyways. Any advice? I also just purchased an ibanez tube screamer, big muff sustainer, a digital delay, and cables/adapters, etc. Any and all input would appreciated

I don't have experience with the hot rod deville, but the 4 speaker devilles are amazing amps. Depending on the condition of the amp you could probably get it for $400. Just point out everything thats wrong with it..

The tube screamer is a great pedal...

I´ve had a 4x10 it was my joy and pride.
I am going for a 2x12 in 2009, but a brand new one.

If its in good conditions, yes why not? Its a great amp.
Love its drive and reverb.
