I would advise you, with an obviously sativa predominent species, you should flower now. They are know to shoot anywhere from 2 to 4 extra feet during flowering... Start now, and  post there sweet parts.. take care

Also, Flip, I'm about to make a  big purchase at an online hydro store...not as big a deal as you think.  It'll get shipped to a different location than the grow and it is in medicali.

Simple solution: get a prepaid credit card as well. ship to a different location. leave it to cool off for a while.

Maybe i'll flip the lights after this weekend...
Right after i build a veg chamber...

seems my little 5" plant was root bound.
All of my plants have gotten healthier since they were transplanted to gallon pots.

The reason why you'd want to start flowering indoor plants at such a small stage,especially Sativa strains,is because they will double in size during flowering,and could very well outgrow the growing area,plus a really tall plant would only get light at the top of the plant,and the light wouldn't penetrate the lower branches.

I didnt realize they could double in size I thought when flowering started it stunted branch growth


how long of a veg cycle is normal (time wise) and how long is a flowering cycle (time wise) for indoor growth on average

Well,you can veg your plants for as long as you want.It just depends on how big you want them to get.From seed,your plants can be ready to flower in as little as 7 weeks,although they wont produce much bud. flowering for Indica's is usually 6 to 8 Weeks,and Sativa's are usually 12 weeks,and sometimes longer.

Hps light will.. but the real problem, is them getting to close to the light. those bulbs will burn off your finger prints... Tried unscrewing a hot one once, using a sock... Had to buy another bulb, cause the sock fused to the bulb, and my finger tips..

Make sure there is no peaking during the 12hours of darkness.. Need absolute dark, to help trigger the flowering.

excellent.. Hope they produce some clean potent buds for you.. A bit of advice, when you get to the last two weeks before picking, make it about 15 to 20 degrees colder in the room. Since you are using soil, instead of hydro, it can be more difficult to flush your nutes out. By making it colder in the end, you stress them into not only using up more of its nute, but flushing more trichomes. Take care
