does anyone know anything about the FAFSA

i just filled mine out and i was wondering. i got to claim independent if that means anything.

anyone know what the "Expected Family Contribution (EFC)" is?

i got a 2610. but i have no idea what that means with funding

now that i filled that out whats the next step. go to my financial aid advisor and talk to her in like a week?

how long does the fafsa take before you know how much money your getting and when the check comes. and who do i need to talk to about if im elligable for the pale grand or stafford loans

Expected family contribution...I'm guessing its how much you think your family will contribute to your funding.

Go to the financial aid office at your school.  They will be apprised of your application and can most likely tell you when you will get your dispersement.  (check) I've filled out lots for my kids and will be paying back $800 a month until I'm 98 years old.  :frown:

With and EFC of $2600, you should qualify for some aid... but not the full amount.

couldn't get my fafsa ever filled out since my parents are both :tinfoil: about the government and sharing their fucking tax information. bunch of retards - we could at least get some of the money you give them back to me to go to school :nonono:

it's not like the gov't won't find other garbage to spend your money on - they will. bailouts, wars, drug prohibition. yeah, the american dream is a real cream dream :thumbup:

You will be there for a while hopefully you will be lucky enough and will be two months or so... talk in school they are the only ones to know how much money you will be getting and the resaults...the money doesnt com e to you comes to the school you applied for... as far as the stanford loan you need to speek to the personaly as well and they will indicate you to where to go to fill their forms. good luck
