I'm wondering if the lack of proper lighting may be whats affecting the leaves. It's odd that its just on the lower growth. Thats really throwing me.

you could also be giving too many nutes, how much do you give them

if you used a soil with nutrients already in it then you probably dont need to be giving nutes yet, even still once every 10 or so days is good. how old are your plants?

also it is normal for the older leaves to yellow and die off, its just strange that it is happening so early, it could just be a DNA thing

The soil has time released feed in it. I gave them a watering with nutrient sol. possible too much feed, maybe a flush is in order.
The plant's are 17 days old i believe.

yea thats probably it, i wouldnt bother flushing, just hold off on giving them nutes for a while, they look really healthy, you should think about transplanting them soon into bigger pots, that would solve the over abundance of nutes problem too.

Flush your plants and just give them plain clean water when needed for a few weeks. One thing you might want to do is draw your water into a bucket and let it set overnight to let any excess chlorine evaporate, use that water to water your plants. Some municipalities have higher chlorine levels than others. If you use well water instead of city water and you have a softener tank in your system, you are basically giving your plants salt water. You can get around that by putting a spout on the line between your pump and your softener tank, draw your water from there to use for your plants. Also check the ph of your soil, it might be on your soil bag or you can get a pretty cheap tester from Walmart or Lowe's. You might want to consider re-potting your plants in fertilizer free soil, that way you can control the exact amount of fertilizer/nutrients your plants are getting instead of risking over/under fertilization.

Hold on. Don't flush them. They aren't burnt.

I use distilled water, but regardless thats def not the issue. No need to go crazy with the water thing. A gallon of generic brand distilled water goes for about $.60 here. Its not like you have a factory.

Get some organic Miracle Grow soil if nothing else. I use the kind with the tan and purplish bag. It works fine. I agree with skii btw.

How big are you wanting your plants to get before switching to 12/12? I can help you with pot size. You should consider poly bags instead of pots.

I would check the pH.  My guess is its a little too acidic.

ph is in the 5 range. Got my hps today and it's operational.
Had to weigh the reflector down to use my hi-low hangers.

Awesome light man:thumbup:Those plants will really flourish now:grin:If you really want to get them going better, you could transplant them in to 1 gallon or more containers.I'm almost positive they are root bound by now.I can't wait until those puppies flower;)

I'm sure you know that your pH needs to be adjusted. I would go ahead and transplant them, and go from there.

Do you have an exhaust fan? You need one as well as a cheap little oscillating fan to move the air around.

. That is one of the nice things about growing pot indoor: you don't have to have everything right out of the gate.

Is it too early to start cloning?
I know most of the plants don't look like clones would survive off of.
I do have 1 that i'd like to try cloning though.
