Anyone here from LI/NYC?
    #9398650 -

What do you guys do when you go out? I'm finding this place gets more boring as the minutes go by.

Don't see how you could get bored in NYC.  Long Island, on the other hand, yikes.

Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake.

NYC here as well... My problem is TOO much to do and not enough time or money. NY is the only place I know that is like that. Concerts, parties, museums, events, people, stores, restaurants, parks, galleries and lots of other shit. Ya know?

Well... Friday nights at MoMA are free.. Parks are free. Sign up for Free NYC email list for daily 6 or 7 free activities in the city. Check Jambase for free music in the area... Just a few suggestions. First Saturday of the month is always a big free event at the Brooklyn Museum also.

Long Island isn't bad you need to know weher to go. IMAC in Huntington, Westbury Music Fair or whatever it's called now, Parks, Mountain Biking Trails, Beaches, NYC, Easy access to all northeast festivals, vinyards, Hamptons if that your thing, plenty of cool places to trip, Planting Fields, Easy trip to Europe if you can swing it, all major airports, restaurants, museums, etc...

Long Island here. There's a lot to do here, and the best part is... it's not NYC yet you have easy access to there. You're not bombarded by people.

Yeah I think my problem is that I just don't know where to go. I only added the city because it brings in fellow New Yorkers! If I had the money I'd be going to places in the city all the time, its such a cool atmosphere.

And yes Long Island does have a lot of great places to trip, unfortunately I got hooked onto Psychedelics at the end of this summer and now its too cold and impossible to find to trip. I'm excited for Spring though! I plan on hitting up the Arboretum. I'm also really thinking about going into the city for the Pink Floyd laser show, WISH I could find a tab or two to accompany me!

It's not too hard to find in the city. Go to shows, be friendly, meet people. Good things will come your way.

Yeah, I usually just wear my Alex Grey shirt when I'm searching for things... they always seem to find me and I don't have to look very far!

Yeah winter is always a bit slow, it's difficult to go out and whatnot. Just gotta have a couple of close buddies and an indoors place to stay and you should be fine.

Yeah I just need to be informed is all. It doesn't help that the kid I usually hangout with never wants to do shit. But hey Winter break is coming and I'm looking to do a lot. Wish more shows would come this way, bur it is Winter after all. Thanks for improving my mood a bit Brosephs.
