well if you don't see money as that important, then by all means stay out of school.  Later on when you realize that you can't really do shit without it, you will regret not going.

i have two jobs, first and foremost i am a web entrepreneur. I run my own company and I do business of all sorts on the net. This is work Im good at and I make decent money on it. It also gives me a whole lot of spare time. This spare time I use for my second job with is working as personal assistant for handicapped children in school. I work 25-30 hours a week with this and the pay sucks but I like working with these kids, its hardly work at all.- I own my own house on the countryside which I share with my daughter every weekend. Im happy with what I do.

I worked in computers, but I quit in order to get a job that is more flexible so that I can finish school.

I loved computers, and I will go back to them when I can.

just don't take out student loans to go to school man.  You'll reget it later like me.

Get finacial aid and work part-time and have your employer pay for it.  It's going to suck later if you are 30,000 or 60,000 in debt and still can't find a decent job.

Right now I'm working for a package delivery company (UPS).  The money isn't great, but there's no limit on raises and I get like $0.50 cent every year for as long as I'm there.  And they also will pay $3,000 a year for college tuition for free.  So If I wanted to finish college I could probably use finacial aid plus that to pay for it.

I work at a variety store... it's pretty much just like clerks. I don't have alot to do just restock and sell shit and clean up a little. I'll usually go outback and have a few bowls while nobody is around, its very chill. Except i have some social anxiety and i really dislike the general public. Everyonce in awhile some friends will come by and hang out for few minutes and chat for a bit. I'm thinking about getting a second job at this headshop where i go hang out all the time and the owner allready asked me if i had a job or wanted one :smirk: haha

Europe pays for schooling. I don't have to loan anything at all. I'm doing economic-languages that falls under "ASO" the highest possible studies you can do. But I'm just not interested at all. I'd rather be a gardener or something alike, something with nature. It's a shame that you need a lot of education for a "decent" job.

Really a shame.

WOW they pay it all for free?  Did you have to have good grades to be accepted into that program though?  Or do you have to maintain a certain GPA to stay in it?

You should just finish a degree while you're there.  If you move to America it's going to be really exepensive to go to school.

You might like not earning much right now but trust me one day you'll be a career man who needs to pay bills.  It's not so bad, by the way, as long as you do something you enjoy.

I'm a games coder, I get paid a pittance right now but as soon as I pull my finger out and move away I should be making serious ching-ching, that means more drugs, a big house in the country, a diamond ring for my girlfriend, a nice car, and the possibility of having kids.  Hell maybe even a fucking soundproofed room with a serious wattage system.

My point is you might be comfy now but living the student life forever would suck balls.  I like eating steaks and living in nice places.

Snoop Doggy Dogg.

Need to get a jobby job.

But srsly, unemployed. I'm living with mom, but mostly just waiting for my girly to finish up high school so we can get an apartment together. I guess you could say that I "go to college" but not really. I'm supposed to take online classes but I don't really do it.

Problem is, to get a job you need a car. To get a car you need money. To get money you need a job. Fuck. (yes, a car is NEEDED in my case, because I live in the middle of fucking nowhere and get like 4 feet of snow every winter. Can't bike through that.)

Yeah, you'll need a car if you move here BeanHead.  And you probably can't find a decent one for under about $8,000

That's what I'm talking about!

Been working about 6 months as a controls engineer.  Graduated in May 08.  Can't really complain, although sometimes the people there kind of get on my nerves a little.  I'm not worried about it though; I'm just here to get some experience, cash, and go with the flow

I'm a clerical worker in the legal field.  I opted out of college for a technical degree so I could start working and getting my life together ASAP without incurring any massive debt. I'm currently incredibly underpaid, but I have a flexible schedule and a cool work environment.  I have a slurry of entrepreneurial ideas, but lack the capital and focus to bring them to fruition.  I would like to, though.

OP, if you life gardening and being in nature there is a lot of work available for that.  You could buy some property and have an organic farm, or study soil erosion and land mitigating techniques and spend your time repairing the Earth hands-on.

The government pays me to go to college.  I don't mean they just pay tuition, they outright pay me.  I guess they think I have potential:shrug:  I despise college, but the opportunity was too good to pass up.
