Puppies!!!!

i got some.....


thundar (my dog that i usually post pictures of on here) and my friends dog mia made some little miracles... i love these little fuckers... thundar is from a mother who is pit and a dad who is border collie, both with 1/4 lab in them. mia is purebred brindle pit (sorry no pics of her).


well we just brought home our puppy and our best friends puppy, a couple days ago... they're about 6 weeks old. we also have a new cat about 3 months old. she will pop up too...

big dog = Thundar the Barbarian (after the 80's cartoon)
brown pup = Sagan (after Carl Sagan), OUR PUP
black pup = Captain Murphy (after sealab 2021), MY FRIEND'S PUP
kitten = Sativa Saffron Atlantis Love

all 3 dogs have the white tip.

the pups are kinda like mirror reflections of each other

the puppies both have the stripe on the face and white tip of the tail from thundar... the white on sagan's back comes up on his left side and forms a crescent shape on his back with just a little smidge of white going past the opposite shoulder, murphy is the same but on the opposite side. sagan has blue eyes murphy has brown, they both have four white sets of toes. sagan is brown and murphy is black, when one is super playful the other is super cuddly and then they'll switch roles... none of the other 6 pups had the white tip on the tail or stripe on the face. and none of the rest of them looked like each other.

i'm sure we'll have pics of thundar & mia with 4 of the 8 puppies soon... thundar and mia are great friends (obviously) and her owner kept 2 as well. i will have murphy for at least 6 months maybe longer until my friend don can move to a dog friendly place so we'll have the dad and mom with 4 pups on mushroom hunting trips this spring that's gonna be a handful....

rofl it would've been easier before they gained personality and opened those cute eyes.. they were all claimed within 1 week of birth so there wasn't too many...

although the litter thundar was born in... 10 puppies, no owners until 5 months old. that was a bitch to handle... i probably could've then lol... nah...

Makes me want to have an additional dog (Sorry for the choice of words which almost makes a dog seem like an object. I can assure you that I was just struggling to find a word for it :wink:)

a guy in my bio class brought in a puppy that looks just like that brown one yesterday, and it sat on the chair next to him the whole time, and only barked once when it woke up from it's nap.

it was kinda weird, but made me want a puppy.

just got news that one of the litter died last night... in it's sleep.. no explaination as of yet

I don't mean to be tacky, but now that the dam has had her litter, maybe think about getting her spayed so there are no more puppies?  Where I live puppy mills run pretty much wild and do whatever they want to do with no laws or control.  Many many many dogs and cats have to be put down every day due to overpopulation and people not wanting to adopt.  Those pups were lucky, as all were claimed.  I only hope they will be spayed/neutered. 

Raising a large litter is hard.  I adopted a rescue dog that was pregnant last November.  8 days after she arrived, she gave birth to 10 pups.  I wasn't able to find homes for them all but luckily I had lots of help and a married couple drove 12 hours during a blizzard in January 2008 to get here and take the pups back with them where they were adopted out through a registered dog rescue/charity.  I received updates on a few just a couple of months ago.  All are doing well. 

Those are some cute puppers though!  I love it when they are small and chubby.  hehe  I don't miss the puppy teeth though - sharp little needles.
