Now, I dont think anyone in this thread (for now) is advocating that Jesus turned fish into wine (or whatever the hell it was).  But with all the sources, there is a theme common to all of them... some rabble rouser was alive around 2000 years ago, he got killed, and alot of stories were told about him.

you fail to observe the common theme of your citations being that they were written 70-100+ years after "jesus'" supposed time of death..

Believe me if there were proof that jesus existed then you would hear that shit all the time.  It would marketed more than McDonalds..

and I don't see how throwing wiki around is well played.. when the citations are obviously flawed.  once again no offense.

btw when you  try to prove an idea wrong it's juvenille to use "prove me wrong" as your rebuttal ..  there's plenty of time for that in discourse.

I can't say if he was a real person or not.  It's  possible but I just don't know and I don't think anybody else does either.

I agree with DieCommie: there probably was some rabble rousing Jew named Jesus who was crucified by the Romans about 2000 years ago.

I haven't let Jesus into my life, other than as a swear word I try to avoid using (because I don't want to give the word meaning in my life), so I've never really tried to look for anything substantial.  I wouldn't be at all surprised though, if the Romans had even kept record of his punishment.
