I have a vacuum sealer....

Alright i have a vacuum sealer sitting around in the kitchen. I was wondering if there was a way to make my own Philosopher's Bag or Myco bag?

Or is there anything else i can do with a vacuum sealer?

You could use it to store your dried shrooms. Most plastic bagging still lets a certain amount of air exhcange though, so it wouldn't be perfect, but those shrooms would probably store good for a long time, especially if they were properly dried.

You could get autoclavable spawn bags from a mycology supplier and make up your own myco bags (rye grain) or philosopher's bags (rye grass), however jars are generally preferable. Why, I'm not sure. If you could get hold of some spores of a sclerotia-forming species then you might want to make up a heap of rye grass bags, innoculate and tuck them away for a few months, then harvest. It sounds like very little work for what you get at the end.
