You need to go back to a thread that was pretty active all week on the dung aspect. Was located in cultivation section. Think you would find it very informative, as it wound up getting into some pretty good detail on specific techniques. Look a bit, and I think you will repost with smiles!

By the way,
Only time I have heard Zoo-Doo mentioned is a particular area. Tough I am sure some other Zoo's have taken up the same idea for fundraising. Better not be muscling in to take over the elephant shit trade! If you go back to previous posts in cultivation over the last week, you will see this mentioned. Also, mounted cop shop doo was mentioned. Thought I would have taken hell for mentioning it, but, lo and behold! Still a usefull resource!

I just ran a trial on Ryche's Pan Trops growing on just pasturized straw, just zoodoo and also a 50/50 mix of zoodoo and pasturized straw. The plain straw contaminated with green mold during the pinning stage. The zoodoo produced just a a very few shrooms but the 50/50 mix has fruited very nicely with no contamination yet. The zoodoo was very soil-like with no obvious pieces of plant matter in it. I brought it up to an appropriate moisture level before mixing with the pasturized straw but that turned out to be only 45% moisture (much lower than the 60-70% recommended by Stamets)due to the lack of sponge effect from plant remains.

I believe real straw/manure based compost would work the best!

moe man it dont work it broke, naw but i appericiate yall help, dung looks like it's the shit to use. if you check back by here tell me something---how deep are the scratches supposed to be? to mix? to uncover?
