Dress-up your Pup for Hallow's Eve
    #9163070 -

I came up with a pretty easy, ingenious "costume" for my dog a couple years ago and I wanted to share it with you all.  First of all your dog has to be mostly white/light tan/golden.  Second you must find a non-toxic, non-caustic hair dye (animal activists please don't flame me, I take the utmost care of my animal friends and I assure you that the dye that I have used is fine for a dog's coat and skin).

Use the Elizabethan collar for the hair dye application if you happen to have one, it comes in handy because your pooch will certainly want to lick at his fur.  Be sure not to work it in too deep.

And when your finished with the application you can take your pup out as Sonic the Hedge-dog!  Folks always get a good kick out of this.

PS - Although the dye is not harmful to the dog, I recommend maintaining the "costume" for a brief 2-3 hour window, perhaps from ~5PM to dusk, and take your hedge-dog for an evening walk and let all the trick-or-treaters and their parents get their kicks, and it's great because they won't have their hands all over him because of the dye, you can say as you keep a-movin'.  Then immediately take him/her inside for a good warm bath and a clean coat.  Hopefully too you've had the opportunity to wear him/her out so that you can get 'em tired and ready for a nap while you go out and do the Monster Mash at the Halloween Bash!

I put a couple of those kid size bow-ties on my Boston Terrier's collar's so they look like they're wearing little tuxedos...

Its simple its easy they don't play with it and I don't feel bad for making them wear dog clothing or any of that crap.

I'm gunna put a spiked mace head on my pit's tail and razor-spurred boots on her feet and set her loose at the dog park.  She loves to play!!!!  :awesome:

I did forget to mention that when they grow out of their cute puppy age I just butcher them down and make my own hot dogs  that's some good eatin' mmmmhhmmmm.

Yeah, no...some of those were just obnoxious and I would never go to such trouble to antagonize my pup.  However, a rad doo is not harassing to him at all.  He loves the massage he gets when applying the color, and the bath after the walk, and the combing after the bath.  He doesn't worry about licking his fur once the walk is on.
