lil wayne is brilliant at times, but he aint from here like i'm from here, so i can't be down for him like that

even if paul wall never did come correct i would still have respect for his effort simply because he knows these streets prolly better than me, and that is saying a fucking lot, and i know it.

I have to say, Im not a fan of normal rap. Growing up, Eminem was the only rap i liked. Recently I heard lil wayne and I decided he is a genuis too. Yes many others are just as smart as him, but the difference is largely the voice; people like his voice &hes more famous than others

my head to the sky my feet on the ground my fingers to the judge if the money don't move.. yea hustler music! haha

edit: must admit, im disappointed, that video makes him look like a total idiot

oh and before you make fun of me for liking paul wall and using him as an exmaple (sorry)

much better than him are pimp c, bun b, 2pac, biggie, (theyre not from here, but yea, they did a lot good and bad), dj screw (who i fucking cannot get down with but he is the originator of some shit i now dabble in), BIG MOE, fucking FAT PAT slim thug to a small degree, the fact that he called his baby mama a bitch in a song just kind of made me lose respect for him, but everyone makes mistakes, lil keke and lil flip are both awesome, but lil keke is always awesome imo, umm Rapic Ric puts some GREAT mixtapes together.. and that brings me to Chalie Boy (check out break 'em off proper from whut it dew 3 or 4, maybe 2 but i don't think so)

oh and the geto boys - g code is basically how i live my life, my idea of it. not because i heard the goddamned song, but because that song is the truth.

and as far as commercial rap T.I. is like madonna and Lil Wayne is Britney Spears. they both offer something unique, and i usually take the one with the more millions spent making them look talented. rofl.

i am magic. most people are if they try.

plus i went through hell on a daily basis from age like..well, before i have my first conscious memory to only fairly recently, and i'm 24.

if i wanted to make someone kill themselves on this message board, i could, if i put my mind to it.

but i'd rather just have people fucking argue right and learn something from a goddamned silly thread about lil wayne. lol. awesome, right?

I would actually venture to say Eminem is far and away the best mainstream rapper alive (I mean, current. Obviously all of Wu besides ODB is still alive, but the shit they put out now, while still good, isn't as good as Em's best stuff.)

He's better than a lot of underground guys too in my opinion.

em is gay. my gadar can pick him up 3000 miles away. mark my words it will come out.

however, i just can't respect a white rapper with that voice, which is just a personal hang up of mine, and no fault of eminem's.

and really it is just so unfair that he does rap (in a lot of ways..) so much better than these black men who are black.

but eminem can't make u get jiggy (unless u can't dance) (and in my opinion), eminem makes u think..

and rap is good for more than that. i like some other aspects of it a bit more than the thinking part. like shit with soul that makes me feel. em don't really make me feel most of the time, just be like "oh okay". not that great. lol.

critically, his verses are much more well thought out and planned than a lot of the typical "rapper's shit"

but

he has not the black man's soul, which is infinite and yeah
