Anyone ever wish they were schitzo?
    #9119806 -

I kinda wanna experience bein truly schitzophrenic.  Not forever, just for a few months.  I think it would be really interesting.  Kinda like hallucinating all the time, every day.  Seems like a really long datura trip without the physical side effects.

I truely am schizo and unmedicated. I used to think itd be cool but when I actually got it I found it wasnt so much. You really start to alienate just about everyone you meet. The hullucinations are mostly auditory, and usually for me its music (rather than voices)

I've always imagined schizophrenia being something like being on a really heavy mushroom trip in public, a.k.a a bad trip. Doesn't sound like fun to me.

Its nothing like a bad trip. My mom was schizophrenic too. Its really not like a trip at all.  Everything feels completely normal to the experiencer but to others seems delusional.

yeah, you don't want it.

people who are schizo think the things they're experiencing are more real than ever. it would be fucked up. you don't want that.

I did an experiment where I did coke for a week straight and at the end I started to feel schizo temporarily, it was not fun. I had auditory hallucinations, for example I thought I could hear neighbors talking about me through the apartment walls, every time I saw people whispering to each other I thought I heard them talking about me, in a completely silent room I'd hear murmuring conversations. Not only that but I became paranoid as fuck, at night every car that drove by I thought was a cop, every flashing light outside I thought they were coming to arrest me, if someone looked at me a certain way I felt like they knew I was high and were plotting to call the cops or rob me or something.

I'm glad I went through the experience because now I have somewhat of a better idea of what schizophrenics go through on a daily basis but it's certainly not fun like some people would think.

A friend of mine freshman year of college developed skitzo... I guess it could be fun depending on how it affects you... he began talking about a revolution and started grabbing girls asses outta the blue... i'm pretty sure he was having fun, but totally unable to operate in life. I would spend an hour or two trying to understand what he was thinking and/or hearing but he couldn't communicate it. In the end health services came to take him away and said he was hearing voices. I saw him the next year and even though he was medicated he was still really twitchy and scattered. Moral of the story is: your all fucking retarded.

Yeah it sucks and shouldnt be glorified. Especially when you have to try with every fiber of your being just to be understandable to the normies.

schizophrenia works like this:
  • you know you're not normal
  • you know you couldn't be even if you try
  • you still, however, attempt to be normal
  • ignoring things you hear/see/whatever that others don't
  • constantly fighting urges to get wrapped up in your own fears/fantasies
  • accepting the fact that you're NEVER going to understand ANYTHING about this world
  • always being avoided by people who've known you long enough to catch on
  • constantly being looked down upon by people who don't
  • never knowing who's on your side
  • or out to get you
  • or avoiding you
  • and always thinking that somebody is
  • you have no friends
  • you have no family
  • you have no one to relate to
  • to confine in
  • to open up to
  • because EVERYONE is different
  • and you know deep down that you'll always be alone
  • because you've already learned (the hard way) that people can only take so much of you
  • and that even in small doses - they give up on trying to relate to you eventually
  • cause you are different
  • and that's never gonna change
schizophrenia is a curse...plain and simple

and anyone that tries to tell you otherwise - doesn't speak from experience  :craven:

Agreed. I can relate to everything on that list. I oftentimes pretend I dont have the strange beliefs I do (to avoid confrontation and alienation). I can really relate to the "everyone whose known you long enough to catch on avoids you" part. Ive developed the ability to make aquaintances just about anywhere and everywhere to cope with the fact that Ill never be able to maintain longterm relationships. I believe most of the people I know already are in fact conspiring against me(along with many who dont).
