This may seem like a long post, but stick with me here.
First and foremost let me start by saying hello, my name is Mike, and i am a pothead in every sense of the word. In that light you can now see why i am composing this letter to say thank you... thank you all you beautiful shroomerites. You may ask your selves why is this guy swingin from our nuts like tarzan right now so let me fill you in.
You see, just recently; in a fictional town ill call "andeville" LA, there has been a lot of coverage on the news about a huge bust where not one but two seperate grow houses have been identified and seized by the police. Soon after andeville goes wickedly "dry" and potheads like myself find that there is no herb of any sorts to be found without travellinng 35 miles or so. Then I stumble on this thread in the pub discussing how to properly smoke hash. After reading for a while i find a glowing gem of a quote about "hot knifing" it, and another right after it that says hey that sounds like a good idea i think ill go clean my pipe. then it dawns on me..... I ahve a pipe i can clean. I hadnot cleaned it previosly because i didnt have a good way to smoke the product. every time i tried  in my pipe it would just melt and slide back down the hole. So now i can oficially say that i have tried hot knifing and that it kicks ass because i am stoned off my ass, from a ball of resin that was about the size of a collar button. YAY. Anyways i know this has grown long in tooth, but once again let me say thanks to each and every one of you out there. you truely do have a unique and synergetic society here, where one can learn the pleasures and pains of the drugs they choose to do. I commend you all on sharing advice with each other, and if i knew how id hit everyone up with some of those little mushroom things..... maybee the moderator can do it for me.

Hell yeah, man! Im glad you had a good experience.

If one were wanting to clean their super resined up pipe....how would one about doing that to get a semi-smokable product?

Well, yeah, you sound high :rockon:

And the first time I hot knifed was after a 10 month layoff and it was some kind. I felt like I was tripping.

Rough on the knives tho.

well you can either find a small tool like a paperclip, and scrape the resin off of the sides, or you can boil your pipe. boiling works better if the resin is really sticky.
