Please increase my vocabulary.

I've asked many people and none of us can remember, so I have a question. When something looks like a penis it is phallic, what do you call something that looks like a vagina? i.e. that peach is very _____.  Knots in trees have a _______ look about them.

Yonic or vaginal, I think.

1) phallic, vaginal, clitoridian:
In a phallocentric culture, there is no equivalent for the word "phallic", because the female sexual organs are not idealized, but rather rejected.
The phallus is a symbol for male domination, there is officially no female domination.
Even in Freud's psychoanalysis, the phallic stage applies for man and woman:
"The phallic stage is the third of Freud's psychosexual stages, when awareness of and manipulation of the genitals is supposed to be a primary source of pleasure. In this stage the child deals with the Oedipus complex, if male, or the Electra complex, if female."
In modern sexology, words such as "vaginal" or "clitoridian" have been used to describe the center of the female orgasm.
"Freud believed that it was natural for female children in this stage to focus on the clitoris as their primary organ for sexual pleasure. He believed that upon reaching adulthood and sexual maturity, a female's primary sexual focus shifts to the vagina. There is considerable criticism regarding this theory, as it portrays adult women who continue to enjoy and/or orgasm from clitoral stimulation as having not reached full sexual maturity."

While often frivolous it is nice, sometimes, to be able to make sexual innuendo, or outright references, without using "foul" words like cunt vag clit etc.

yeah, I want to use it at work without sounding absolutely too vulgar haha... I mean I have no problem with saying something looks like a vagina, I'd just like to be clever about it.

In public you can say phallic and apply it to many things, but anything that looks like a vagina if you're explaining it to someone some people might not want to hear "That looks like a vagina!" It's just another way to walk around saying things that some people are offended by. I think it's dumb that people can't handle hearing about vaginas, but I'm also conscious of offending people in the work place, I'd just rather not deal with it.

Yonic is the word. Vaginal only makes sense in some scenerios... vaginal would be used in a technical/medical way, whereas yonic would be used in a more intellectual/spiritual way. If this make any sense.

"It looks like a fucking vagina/cunt!" Is what one with a lack of vocabulary or lack of ingenuity would say!

In medical terminology the word for vagina is "colp".In a combining form it is "colpo".Vaginal pain in technical terms is colpodynia or colpalgia.This all I got.:grin:
