Writing/vocabulary type of user created forum?

Anyone think this would be a nice user created forum?  Or is there one already like this?  You can post your eloquent short stories with epic prose, and stuff.  Share big words that sound cool, and that kinda stuff haha.

Just a random thought I had so I'm throwing it out there.  I think it'd be cool :shrug: I like trying to expand my vocabulary and enhance my writing style.  Guess I'm posting here to get an idea of how many other people think it'd be neat.

You can post literature in the Music, Art and Media forum, it just probably won't get too much attention.

Its easy to take the piss out of it for someone who doesn't find it interesting, but I personally think it's a great idea. I've had the thought myself before but I'm not sure there'd be enough interest.

I'm so tempted to write the most sarcastic response ever to that, but honestly I have no idea what you're talking about.  I've never really worried about looking like a giant dick when it comes to amusing myself, I'm quite supercilious.

I didn't include it in my OP cuz I figured it goes without saying, but yea, I know this idea isn't for everyone.  That's why I posted in the first place, to see if there was any interest in it at all.

Koods I thought you might be someone that actually might think this idea would be a little bit decent haha.  And not super boring and lame like most people probably think lol.

I'll think about it, it's hard for me to even gauge how much I'd contribute though honestly.  It was just a spontaneous thought I had that sounded alright in my head.  I'll think more about how I'd want to structure it and everything.



This vid kind of reminds me of what the atmosphere might be like (if you guys have seen that whole episode).  Not exactly, I wouldn't intend for it to be elitist or focused on reading analyses or that stuff, but just in general like somewhat of a formal place where people could share stuff.  Short stories and poems and all that would be cool but I was thinking a focus more specifically on the writing style and how it sounds, more than the content of what is posted.  We'll see.


@ Moonrock - you could post all kinds of dumb shit in the forum and fit right in if you slip a supercilious in here and there :grin: I don't even know what that means but now I can look it up :laugh::cookiemonster:

Yeah I always wanted to be part of a book club, but it would just end up like it always did in school with me having to pretend like I read the whole book when I only read the blurb on the back :lol: pretty much like that video.

Maybe I should make my own forum for gadawful fanfix, crude sland, and poor grammar.  First assignment, 'My Immortal' by Enoby Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way :sadyes:

i've had the same idea before, like where u can write paragraphs and peeps can correct u on ur grammer or give u some tips on how to improve ur sentences, i think it'd be pretty cool

try the shroomery university forum, probably u're best bet
