any tek on natural control?

You can go to your local hardware store and get some 1/2" copper tubing in the plumbing section.  Make a circle with it around the area you want to protect.  Most slugs won't crawl over the copper.  The theory I read is that it produces an electrical charge from contact between the slug and the ground, but it could also just irritate them from some other property.  I do know it works though.

It won't stop them all, but it stops 90% of them.

If they're large slugs like we have in the pnw, mouse traps baited with oatmeal mixed into peanut butter also works, but you'll get some mice too.

The best method, that I have found, is just to go outside every night with a flashlight and pick them up and dispose/relocate them in whatever manner seems fit.

you can buy copper on rolls like tape with a sticky back to stick around pots, that's the stuff you need :yesnod:

of course copper pipe works too, but it's expensive these days...

DE is a good deterant to slugs also, infact any inert powder is good until it gets rained on...
