when you find a spider in your house...

do you kill it or let it live?

personally i have a really hard time killing them... regardless of their evil appearance, and my fear of their bite, i love the little fuckers.

let live or let die?

to not give a shit or why?

I always let them live.

I even try to find them food.



I mean there is absolutely no reason to kill them. You are probably a thousand times bigger than they are, and they kill vermin in your home for free.

I use a wide-mouth glass and a large index card to catch the larger ones.  I put them outside.  Sometimes, one will get inadvertently injured or killed, but I'm pretty successful at catching them.

The really small ones (pinhead sized) that form gossamer webs in the corners of the floor and ceiling get vaccumed up using the vacuum hose attachment.  They're just too small and inconveniently placed to capture. 

REALLY big scary FAST ones (1 - 2 per year) get the vaccum treatment, too.

come to think of it, that would be a pretty horrid way to die.

but yeah i'm guilty of the vacuum treatment, when necessary.

i always get a glass & a bit of cardboard and chuck them outside...the only bug i kill (with intent) is mosquitoes, they got it coming though the little vampires!

uuum where do you live in the outback or something?

The only spiders i get in my house are house spiders that catch flies with theyre webs, not ones that kill vermin!!!

Like most things in my life, it depends on my mood. If I don't get to squash a few posts here then I go for the spiders.

Spiders are fine with me been having a wolf spider sit and make his web the past few weeks on the porch... been throwing stuff like grasshoppers and shit in his web.... neat pet.

I kill the spiders. Generally, I like to place them on a paper towel and toss them in the toilet alive, then flush it to see if they can make it out. They never do but it's an interesting thing to watch. Anything else, like moths, or other typically harmful things, I let live but I'm not knowledgeable enough about spiders to be able to tell which ones are harmful and which ones aren't, so I don't take any chances.
