smoked some DMT last night

For the first time in months. I managed to scare myself off DMT for a while through carelessness, but I forgot how fundamentally pleasant an experience it is.

Didn't break through, but I did get knocked on my ass by hyperkinetic super-colored cartoon-vision, and the feeling of a wormhole wired throughout my body. Good times.

And what a perfectly relaxing comedown.

I love DMT. :yesnod:

I haven't smoked DMT in about 3 months but I'm definitely ready to go there again as soon as this sore throat of mine is cleared up for a bit.  I hadn't even taken it out for 3 months but the other night we got home from a party and a new friend wanted to try it so I loaded the gun for him and watched him blow his mind away..made me really want to go there again.

Seriously though. I've done my fair share of drugs by now but there's nothing like that cosmic DMT rush. It used to just scare the shit out of me. It still does but I love it too.

I've only had one breakthrough on it, Jesus H. Christ. I was trying to get there last night but I didn't quite make it. I need to get some fresh rootbark.

Haha, yeah, DMT can kick your ass like no other. My first breakthrough scared me shitless, and I had another not-quite-breakthrough trip shortly after that one which was, to sum it up, EXTREMELY unpleasant.

A lot of the anxiety I had previously is gone now, simply because I've had time to properly absorb all those outrageous experiences, and I now have something vaguely resembling familiarity with the drug.

the only DMT experience i ever had was sniffing those god awful yopo seeds.....is it comparable to breaking through on salvia? how long does it last?

The DMT breakthrough is far more vivid than the salvia breakthrough. If the salvia breakthrough is kind of dim and vague, the DMT breakthrough has floodlights on and feels more real than anything you've actually experienced in real life. It lasts up to a half hour, though the comedown is pretty odd - you'll be back in touch with normal reality but still sort of immersed in DMT space. The whole experience is paradoxically relaxing; I feel so tranquil and peaceful while I'm coming down, which isn't the way I'd expect to feel after such madness.

I kinda want to try yopo someday though, sounds pretty different from N,N-DMT.

I took a bunch orally, then took more when it wasn't hitting me. By the time it was about to hit I decided 'what the hell' and put alot in the pipe and hit it. both oral doses kicked in right about then plus the super fast rush from smoking, shot like a bullet into complete madness and insanity.

I was careless and it did definitely kick my ass. It was very scary. Bad idea. :crazy:

Haven't touched it since then.

Holy crap that sounds intense. I've only smoked it meself, I just happened to get way too casual about it and ended up smoking at totally retarded moments of my life. For example, it's generally a good idea not to be drunk and depressed when you hit that shit.

I prefer smoking it. I don't think you are missing much.

Oral just lasts way too long. Smoking is a cooler experience, the crazy come-up and rush is an important part of the whole dmt thing imo, something you don't get with ayahuasca etc.  Smoking is just an oral trip packed into 20-30 minutes and super crazzzy of course, whoo :laugh:

Yeah, if I could compare DMT to anything else I've done it's like a mushroom trip packed into half an hour. But not really, it does a lot of stuff mushrooms don't. "Cartoon vision" is really the best way I can describe an intense non-breakthrough DMT trip, and I've never gotten it with shrooms. I've literally seen my living room transformed into a Super Mario level.

I do want to try ayahuasca someday, though. I just wouldn't want to do it without an experienced guide.

I love DMT.  I've never got cartoon vision, but I could see where it might go that way.  I get intense brightly colored fractal kaleidoscope on low doses; on high doses I end up in that cosmic space, it feels like the house of the cosmos... my first time there I got a very bumpy tour guided by a feline/reptile being.

And that feeling of calm and reintegration coming down... bliss.

@MafiaDC: There's no DMT in (most) yopo; the yopo experience is primarily bufotenine, and really isn't much like DMT at all.  It's primarily visual, with only hints of psychedelic undertones.  Very meditative though.

Yeah, the tranquility of the comedown surprises me every time. I always feel so deeply content.

Fractals are a part of "cartoon vision." I can't really describe it; I'll be looking at something with my eyes open, and I'll know what I'm actually looking at, but at the same time it's moving all over the place, like a grid of train tracks running completely bizarre unreal trains at lightspeed. This is when I'm looking at a scene that is standing completely still.

The most memorable aspect of it for me, though, is the way colors and lighting look. Everything is incredibly bright and shiny, and the colors are something you might call oversaturated. It's incredibly intense, but beautiful as well.

I can't wait until my next session.

Only downside to smoking I think is...dmt vapor really can't be that good for you, can it?

I thought about this and there's probably left over solvent etc. if you extracted,  and the dmt vapor itself even if you get it pure cant be that great.

Every time I've done it I felt like I was being really mean to my poor lungs :tongue:
