holy shit! DRUMS!!!

hung out with some guys i met at a park a few weeks ago. we dropped some acid and they pulled out their drums. i didnt know what to expect.. i just figured alright, some hippys wanna slap some drums, cool, ill see how long i can stand this shit.

not what i expected....

i got lost in the sounds of these guys drumming. it was fucking amazing. the sound itself was intensifying the psychedelic affect SO much. it was something about the sound, it was so familiar, but something about it made me trip so god damn hard. now, ive smoked a bit of DMT, and this was like smoking DMT. just the sounds of these drums shot me into this amazing place. ive always heard drumming was an ancient way of altering human consciousness but god DAMN. im gonna have to listen to them drum sober next time to see where i can go in my head. hell, im gonna have to buy one of those drums and start havin fun myself!!!

if youve never tripped and listened to drumming, YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My friend has a pair of bongos at his house.

Every time I go over there I'm always playing them, tripping or not.

I'm not very good, but I still love to play them  :rimshot:

I have a shaman drum i ordered online. Pretty badass piece of equipment. I havnt tried it while tripping yet

Nelson ledges is the best place I've ever been for drum circles.  Though I don't drum, I play didge in em.

every Saturday night i go to drum circle theres always like at least 20 people there with different size/sounding drums all playing the same rhythm.

one word.

memorizing.

and everyone always brings a couple joints and they just get passed around all night long.

the ones i go to are on the beach at sunset.

Djembes are the shit! I ordered a toca freestyle djembe a few weeks ago. The thing is an endless amount of fun. I kinda drifted away from it back into bluegrass guitar though. It is hard keeping up some of those complex rhythms. I like the close hand slap though that seems to work better for me than the open hand style.

Goddamn hippies with their goddamn djembes, always tripping people out.

Anyway I would rate playing hand drums as being one of the best possible things to do while tripping.

I used to go to a drum circle every week.

After a while I started coming on mushrooms and I remember this one hippie dude was like "wowww... what ENERGY!!!!"
