i generally use 50/50 but if you dont like so much mayo, just do like 25% mayo, it needs to be creamy!  its so damn delicious.

back when i was night captain for the frozen section at a grocery story, i got aids from touching a hungry man dinner.

Having worked there for a while, i could tell you pretty much everything on the shelf.  The only frozen food dinner i would eat is pizza, but some of them aren't AS BAD as the rest, as far as health.  example: the kashai pizza with spinach and cheese and tomatoes and shit. I forget the name at the moment.  Its good, and although a prepackaged food, has healthierish ingredients.  Anyway, All those healthy choice, hungry man, smart ones, ect all look equally disgusting to me.

sry but nah...  i dont have the time to spend 30 min cooking a nice meal, id rather plop some garbage in the zapper and eat 3 minutes later

here is a list of the only foods i've eaten for the past two months...

sandwiches loaded with mayo
pizza
hamburgers
microwave dinners
pasta
steak
chips
candy
more pizza
and beer!!!

I started a new job 3 months ago working nights and doing plenty of overtime so its probably the reason i don't cook anymore but im young and can get away with it... for now:shrug:

It seems cool when you're having fun and cooking the bong :wink: But after years(or even months) go by, that shit catches up to you.
In low energy and poor health. Trust me on that one.

Most of my meals are well under 15 minutes to make. I'm not an excellent cook.
But I've learned a few things/tricks and tips along the way.

And my GF makes awesome soups and such, that's an important morsel of honesty. :grin:

The average meal I eat:

just barely 5 minutes to get it going. Then I wait a little bit. Maybe 10 minutes tops usually.

While sitting on my ass. :yesnod:

I've managed to make eggs while pretty much sitting down the whole time. Not that extreme sloth is something to be proud of.
But if "me time" is really important, eating healthy doesn't have to cause the sacrifice of that time.

And if we redefine the concept of me time, or free time, making a meal for yourself is worth while. Not to mention important, and empowering.
The next best thing is raising your own food.(But that's a whole essay worth of thoughts and opinions, as I find this whole subject incredibly fascinating and very important)


The most empowering thing involving food IMHO? Is the production of your own. And that's one of the reasons I respect people like Demius here @theShroomery very much. :thumbup:

But hey, it's your life/body/one chance at existence.
Do what you feel is right. :strokebeard:

so why exactly do you not have time?    last night i cooked up some delicious perch, pan fried, coated with powdered garlic and onion, fine golden cornmeal, parmesan and some thyme. along with some diced mixed veggies and sliced cucumber coated in lime juice.

total time prep + cooking = 20 mins.

yep.  most of the things i make are pretty simple and easy,  and alot of times ill make a large meal and have leftovers for 3-4 days, so not only do i have incredibly healthy and tasty food, i have enough that all i have to do for half of the week is plop some in a pot and heat it up. i make alot of soups ahead of time in a crockpot(easiest way to make food ever).

Crockpots are AWESOME.

Chili is a major player in my diet, I like to have a gallon of that around at a time.  Gotta make it REAL spicy.

god i know, they simplify cooking so much.  i make alot of chili as well(turkey or chicken though), and corned beef and cabbage, stews, even roasts and other things, a crockpot will tender up any piece of meat.  and how much easier could it get? you add ingredients, turn on low and let it go all day.
