Aspirin containing codeine

This is dumb, but how can I tell whether or not a particular aspirin has codeine in it? Will it just say "codeine: X mg" on the ingredients list? Or, if it has codeine will it say "with codeine" on the front? Sorry if I sound retarded, I just blazed a big ol blunt and I just stumbled across this codeine extraction stuff. :stoned:

you can assume that your pill has filler.

Google the number on the pill with "pill" included in the google filter. Then you will know.

But what if the pill doesn't have any numbers on it. For example, an aspirin I'm looking at now just says "ASPIRIN" with a little "L." at the end.

EDIT: Thanks for the concern. I know, I know, drugs are bad, m'kay. I always research and carefully pick my dosage (usually on the low side) with any drug I take.

stupidity is about the only thing bad associated with pharmecuticals.  at least you know you are getting exactly this milligram of active ingredients per pill.  i'm not quite sure i understand where u are coming from??

Why would asprin have codine in it? i forget the chemical name for it but asprin is one type of medicine. they wouldnt put codine in it. And even if they did it would be in such small amounts that youd prolly OD on asprin before you got high from the codine in it =/

Some otc and rx aspirin pills have a small amount (~6-8 mg IIRC) or codeine in them, and there are methods to extract the codeine from the pills.

I just meant you don't want to just go around saying pharmaceuticals aren't bad at all and then stating you can die.

The OP said that he wanted to know how to find out if the aspiring had codeine in it because he just found out about codeine extractions.

I've heard of tylenol with codeine, but not aspirin.  What country are you in?  If you're in the US and didn't get the pills via prescription, then they don't have codeine.

Yes, I am in the US. So no otc pills have codeine? Ah well, I just wanted to do it if I had the materials on hand, but no big deal.

want codeine? in Canada you just go up to the counter and ask for Tylenol 1.
Its got codeine, acetaminophen, and caffeine.
you can cold extract out the Tylenol, but not the caffeine.
too much of that will make you wretchedly ill.
