I agree with this entirely. EVERYONE seems to be missing my point, and I don't know how else to explain it any more clearly.

Supporting the lesser of two evils is giving up. Obama is dirty as a ten dollar hotel room just like most politicians.

Personal change is what the Dead have always stood for, not political change.

I'll ask it again... have drug laws fixed the drug problem? And if you think drugs are not a problem, don't forget what took Jerry from us.

Have gun laws fixed the gun violence problem?

Have drunk driving laws fixed the drunk driving problem?

Laws do not solve social problems. People acting differently will. This used to be the Dead's message, and the comments about "I don't know what I'm talking about" well, whatever. I really feel like the people who didn't see the Dead as anything more than an excuse to party killed the scene way before Jerry died.

A lot, maybe 90%, of the people at shows in the 90s were there for the party. We other 10% looked at you like leeches but we shook our heads and shrugged.

You should read up on what Jerry said about the acid tests. They were a quest for a social revolution, an attempt to transcend the current world system and live and think on a higher level.

Anyone who doesn't know this really shouldn't be telling me I don't know what I am talking about. It may have been just a jam band and a party in the lot to you, but you were just licking the sprinkles off the icing if that's all you ever saw in them.

well i guess the 22 inevitebly met head on

its stupid to go too far with tis

part of me wants to belive its all being done for show and to distract otherwise ver open and conious people from what is going on

but thats only one of any number of posobilities

also i hate using 'they" t mean someone outside me
