I was there. It was at Oakland and Bill Graham had died a few days before. Kesey's talking about his son dying and Graham donating money to make a sign were his son plunged to his death.
I talked about this in a post a long time ago.A few days later the Dead and a bunch of other bands played a free tribute concert at Golden gate park. It was an emotional day and after the show we all walked are acid soaked brains to the Pacific and watched the sun set. Just as the people at the first Human Be-in did decades before.
