The reason this group was made is to raise awareness to the ignorant and wasteful government policy known as the War on Drugs.

Sure our police and drug raids confiscate literal tons of drugs every year.. but do the people that want drugs really have a problem getting them??
That was a rhetorical question.. the answer is no. I'm 18 years old and even I could find a connection for any drug I wanted.. Is this a sign of success DEA??

The problem is that by funding a large scale prohibition of a substance opens that substance to sale on an illegal level, which provides a very nice income to drug cartels, terrorist organizations, and rebel factions in unstable countries, all three of which are quietly rooting for the continued black market sale of drugs.

So now if you are following, we are waging an expensive, unsuccessful war against substances, which are being sold in mass quantities through a market that is largely controlled by criminal(or worse) organizations, whom continue to make vast profit due to a high demand.

Please, DEA, tell me why more money isn't put into drug education and rehabilitation, rather than citing, catching, and punishing normal citizens that smoke pot. Why are citizens given a criminal record rather than a civil offense, for POSSESSION of a PLANT. Why are we not given the liberty to own, sell, grow, or smoke weed, when alcohol is consumed daily by underage drinkers?

If the DEA would keep drugs that are a real, and immediate, danger to the user and/or secondary persons illegal, and regulate and tax the sale of marijuana and other drugs with incredibly low chances of acute toxicity(which ironically enough does not include alcohol), then our country would save itself(and benefit itself through incoming tax money; not to mention take the profit of these drug sales from criminals), billions of dollars every year. Our country would revive the lives of millions of people that have been, or will be, given criminal records due to possession charges. Our country would take a giant step away from close-mindedness (and negative social stigmas- I had to throw that in there for Germaine), and back towards the country that was founded on ideals of personal liberty and
social acceptance.

I'm not going to take the time at the moment to mention all of the potential benefits that could be obtained for the medical and psychology fields from drugs that either are or were banned from even being used in scientific research.

To sum this little rant up, please at least consider the facts. As a people, Americans need to become more responsible for the government that they put in power. United we stand, divided we fall."
