I cannot tell you what you will gain by buying the guitar, but I can tell you what you will lose
EVERYTHING
If you buy that guitar you are an impulsive FUCK FACE with no trait concerning SELF-CONTROL
Do not be a BASTARD and BUY THAT GUITAR RIGHT NOW
You must not, under any circumstances, BUY THAT GUITAR RIGHT NOW
DO NOT save your money and NOT BUY THAT GUITAR

being an avid fan of hollowbodies and strats i can easily tell you to not buy that epiphone lespaul. but this is a very biased point of view, since les pauls just really aren't the guitars for me.
i agree with others tho, if you're serious about a les paul, save up more and get one of the big daddy gibsons, much better quality and sound, plus the lifetime warranty.

Les Pauls of this kind are $1500-$3000....
I can't stand Strats, and has been only one of two guitars that I have ever sold (the other was a Jackson Soloist).... But, I wouldn't like a Les Paul either - too damn heavy....
I stand by Ibanez, and have played lots of different guitarz....

No don't buy the guitar. Never buy a guitar unless you can try it out, especially Gibsons and Epiphones. Although quality control is better on the Epiphones(it's absolutely shocking with Gibson) there's no way to tell how it will play until you get it. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of buying guitars when i can't afford them, but you'l regret it when it comes, plays wank and you've got no money. Out of curiosity what guitar(s) do you have atm?
-------------------- God takes those closest to us, because it makes him feel better about himself. He is a very vengeful God. He's all pissed off about something we did thousands of years ago. He just can't get over it, so he doesn't care who he takes. Children, puppies, it don't matter to him, so long as it makes us sad. Why does God give us anything? Look at it this way: if you want to make a baby cry, first you give it a lollipop. Then you take it away. If you never give it a lollipop to begin with, it would have nothin' to cry about. That's like God, who gives us life and love and help just so that he can tear it all away and make us cry, so he can drink the sweet milk of our tears. You see, it's our tears, Stan, that give God his great power.

Right now i own a http://www.guitarcenter.com/Yamaha-FG730S-Solid-Top-Acoustic-Guitar-519049-i1150361.gc
And i get to "Play" On my buddies nice ass Stratocaster that he never uses.
Im getting Pretty decent at guitar now. I think its time to step up to owning a "Decent" Eletric. I love the Les Paul Style and have played a few at guitar center. Including the one posted in the first post.
Besides it doesnt have the name Gibson what is REALLY the problem with the one I like. Honestly i want some streight up feedback not a whiney ass post like "Get a gibson nigga".
I love the color, I love the style, YES it is heavy but im a strong strapping young lad, and Im an INtermediate guitar player.
Whats honestly the problem with this guitar. And Post a better one if you think you know what would be better for me.
Thx for the replies ive gotten fellas

Yeah, wait till you have some cash and get a guitar that will last you the rest of your life, instead of some pretty-good intermediary level instrument.

What are you going to do for an amp? Make one out of ramen noodles or something?

Don't. Save up enough until you can buy a proper gibson. On a related note, my friends dad just "invested" in a $10,000 1960-something Gibson hollow body.... it is so awesome.

If you buy that guitar be prepared to buy a new set of tuning keys for it because the ones that epiphone les pauls come with don't stay in tune at all. There are much better guitars you could get for that price. Honestly I think thats a rip off, I wouldn't pay more than 300 for an epi les paul.
I think you should save your money for stuff you actually need. Wait till you become more than an intermediate guitar player before you make an impulse buy on a guitar that you probably won't want anymore after a year. My first guitar was an epiphone les paul similar to that one. It was a mediocre instrument but if you're just playing it at home for fun (as opposed to recording, jamming, gigging) then it might be a decent choice.
Also do you have an amp?

Ill say it again, find a lotus les paul from the 60's, or early 70's and buy that. It will cost a fuck of allot less that a gibson, and it will sound even better than one after upgrading some of the hardware.
