Closed eye visuals or open eye visuals?
    #885408 - 09/16/02 10:37 AM (14 years, 2 months ago)

I've been tripping for nearly two years and I'm the one among my friends who prefers to close my eyes when tripping. I find the whole experience amazing travelling through what seems colourful tunnels in my mind, meeting people I've known in the past and present and just seeing amazing patterns. Anyone got any views on this?

What colours and patterns do you guys see when closing your eyes? I see mainly greens, purples and reds.

I have had full blown views of landscapes and cities that were not of this world. many designs superimposed on 3 dimensional backgrounds. I have not seen these is a few years. I think it takes a good break, then no drinking or hard partying for awhile before. Maybe its just random, but there is this world that a few of us have had a glimpse of and it keeps us coming back

Check out what Claude Rifat said in http://www.dog.net.uk/claude/dreams.html he explains WHY we see such things in closed or open eye visuals.

btw, i mainly have geometric patterns that change all the time, like rivers of yellow, gold, purple and blue colors which are running all over the image...

also i like creating an unknown face in my mind and then it starts changing to different faces, all unknown... hundreds!!!!!!!

Yes, I've also travelled through three dimensional cities, it is an incredible experience.

When travelling through tunnels I can sometimes see a beutiful place at the end which I can never quite get to, I think that place could be the "clear light". I've always try and reach it but I'm always diverted down a different tunnel before I get there.

I think your right in saying it's quite a rare thing. In two years I've only seen mind blowing cev's on 3 occasions.

I see whatever my mind wills me to see. If i think about a certain color i can produce it with closed eye visuals. this is easier with LSD but can also be done with psilocybin, just takes more effort.

That's pretty amazing, I'll have to try that next time I trip. Do you just try to think about the colour and it apperars?

Laying in a fluffy chair with my eyes closed dosed up on about 4 grams of cubies ive had some amazing closed eye stuff happen. Feelings of no gravity, gravity pulling you in all driections and floating all acompaning beautiful unexplanable visions.

Now i shroom and play and i get more creative it's cool man! PEACE

hmm..most of the times i've tripped, i COULDN'T close my eyes, unless i put MUCH effort into it. Like, my eyes would force themselves open. I could still manage if i really tried hard though. all i saw was patterns and colours, etc. If i'm having to put to much effort into closing my eyes, and i really want too, i just turn out all the lights and make it pitch black. seems to work the same for me.

the thing is though...i don't feel satisfied calling them 'cev's. Because i'm not actually seeing anything. well i am...but it's all in my head. i just have an annoying feeling when i do it that 'it's just images in my head'. it's like thinking of an old vivid memory when your sober. it's the same thing to me(only of course...you see very vivid and sometimes unexplainable things when on drugs. things that take your breath away).

so...i'd have to say i prefer open eyed visuals. cause when i see something with my eyes open...i actually FEEL like i'm SEEING it. so hard to explain.
