For me, a lot of the questions were unanswerable as stated. I took the quiz twice, answering it from different perspectives which represent the sum of my beliefs and experiences (as best I could).

Answering based upon my scientific beliefs:

Quote:

1. Secular Humanism (100%)
2. Unitarian Universalism (92%)
3. Theravada Buddhism (84%)
4. Nontheist (84%)
5. Liberal Quakers (76%)
6. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (58%)
7. Neo-Pagan (58%)
8. Taoism (58%)
9. Mahayana Buddhism (43%)
10. New Age (43%)
11. Reform Judaism (41%)
12. Orthodox Quaker (37%)
13. New Thought (30%)
14. Scientology (30%)
15. Sikhism (30%)
16. Bahá'í Faith (28%)
17. Jainism (27%)
18. Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (25%)
19. Hinduism (25%)
20. Seventh Day Adventist (22%)
21. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (17%)
22. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (15%)
23. Eastern Orthodox (7%)
24. Islam (7%)
25. Orthodox Judaism (7%)
26. Roman Catholic (7%)
27. Jehovah's Witness (0%)

Answering based upon my meditative experiences:

Quote:

1. Mahayana Buddhism (100%)
2. Neo-Pagan (98%)
3. Taoism (93%)
4. New Age (90%)
5. Unitarian Universalism (86%)
6. Liberal Quakers (85%)
7. Hinduism (81%)
8. Theravada Buddhism (79%)
9. Scientology (72%)
10. New Thought (71%)
11. Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (67%)
12. Orthodox Quaker (64%)
13. Jainism (62%)
14. Secular Humanism (58%)
15. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (58%)
16. Sikhism (57%)
17. Reform Judaism (41%)
18. Bahá'í Faith (40%)
19. Nontheist (32%)
20. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (27%)
21. Seventh Day Adventist (27%)
22. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (21%)
23. Orthodox Judaism (21%)
24. Eastern Orthodox (15%)
25. Islam (15%)
26. Roman Catholic (15%)
27. Jehovah's Witness (13%)

Combining:

1. Secular Humanism (100%)
3. Taoism (93%)

... is probably the most accurate for describing me.

Non-theist, baby.

Although, I'm w/ Seuss in that the questions are not easily answerable in a way that makes me happy.

I wish the No God/Not Sure choices were separated.

I see no evidence of any divine being, but I am not willing to rule it out completely. I would be willing to change my mind if evidence was presented.

I'm more an agnostic than I am an atheist.

Same here. To me, blind faith that there is a god is no different than blind faith that there is not a god. However, I cannot discount some of the experiences I have had while meditating. My experiences fit in nicely with Taoism, which ironically, fits in fairly well with secular humanism. If shooting for labels, perhaps I am a mystical secular humanist.

My inability to completely dismiss a higher power is somewhat the same. I am unable to reconcile my clear feeling that religion is nonsense from the belief of the vast majority of people on the planet to whom religion is something very important, often *the* most important thing in their lives.

I know Diploid has spent some time explaining to me how this is an evolutionary mechanism in humans, but it gives me pause anyway.

Almost makes me feel I am missing something obvious.
