It's as fast as yours. Only my connection to it is a tad slower. :wink:

I'm on ADSL here, appears to be doing 3611Kb/881Kb. I believe I pay for 4Mb/1Mb, so that's close enough. Yours is pretty fast, I'd have to actually pay $$$ for a connection like yours :laugh:

You're getting 29000 kb/sec on comcast cable? I don't see how that adds up... maybe I'm retarded, but isn't that the equivalent to 30 megabytes a second?

Since when does Comcast even offer cable service in that range?

I got like 7340/750 which isn't actually an accurate measure unless they're talking bits not bytes. I have a 7Mbit connection, but I routinely pull down just under 1 meg a second (960-990 kbytes/sec) through my paid newsgroup service.

Right, well the point I'm trying to make is that I didn't know you could GET a 30 Mbit cable connection.

The highest cable rate I have ever seen here is 9Mbits, and then there's Verizon FIOS at 20Mbits.

Upload Speed: 3785 kbps (473.1 KB/sec transfer rate)

30Mb/s is around 3.5MB/s

If the original measurement is in kilobits, then you're right. But I assumed it to be measuring with the more layman-familiar kilobytes.

However, reading it in bits makes sense, as it accurately reflects my speed then.

These things always measure in kbits. 's like measuring your cock in nanometers, which will make it look huge as well.
