Mycelium is both fluffy and rhizomorphic, so noone can tell you for sure whats going on in your jar. It seems weird imho to be cobwed mold while still on the protected jar... if you think you have to birth it (but its only 50% colonized!) and you are sure that its cobweb mold, a shower of H2O2 will do the magic trick...

Sorry my friend, but I must disagree. Cobweb, white, light or dark green, none of these molds can be done away with by a simple shower of hydrogen peroxide.

I have learned a new trick in killing mold before it takes over, but it's untested, so I'm keeping it to myself until I prove it works.

If you have healthy mycelium, then cobweb should stand out. When its there, youll know. It grows SUPER fast too.

hey TM, my cake was full of cobweb mold and a simple H2O2 shower DID the trick... there is a thread of mine, you can do a search...

it worked, because after the shower, the cake did the flush it was on my second quiz for fun

it doesnt kick out the problem forever, cobweb mold will be again after you crop the shrooms

Okay, maybe it'll temporarily work for cakes, but doesn't do a thing for casings.

My mistake. I don't fruit cakes, just grate them/mix them into poo. :grin: :wink:
