Microsoft Word security flaw

Apparently Micro$oft will supply a patch but not for millions of Word 97 users ... I've been searching to find out how to exploit this flaw for testing purposes but haven't found it yet. Evidentally you can plant some code in a word document, email it to someone for them to modify and when they send it back to you it will contain whatever file you want from their computer providing you know the filename and location. With versions later than Word 97 it must be printed first.
If anyone finds out how to do this please let us all know.

doesn't sound like very practical way to accomplish anything.

"Microsoft says an attacker would have to know the exact file name to be stolen and its location. But many critical files -- an address book or saved e-mails, for example -- are usually in obvious or predictable places on every Microsoft Windows computer. " yet another reason not to use things like "My Documents" and "Program Files" - I always create my own directory structure.

I hate microsoft too, but I have made lots of money helping people work their shitty products.
What else are you gonna do use linux? I won't learn linux until you can prove it is going somewhere.

I've a pretty good chunk of change helping microsoft users too. I think you should try the latest versions of either RedHat or Mandrake linux. You will be surprised how much easier and user-friendly it is now.

Yeh, that's cool. I think you do the following: highlight X97 to L97, press return so that the white cell moves one to the right, then hold ctrl and left click on the chart wizard button.
There's also a pinball game in Word 97, to get that I think you do something like typing "Blue ", change the font to bold, blue then go to about word and hold down either shift or ctrl (can't remember which one), then left click on the Word icon in the top left of the about screen.
