I saw some in a lawn about 2 weeks ago in Seattle. Temps had dropped a bit but the day temps were at least 75f. The lawn was watered with automatic sprinklers nightly.

The fall season woodchip variety seem to be more potent though, IMO.

The fall is the best time to fine them. When conditions are right you can find them year round, Like BlimeyGrimey said mulch variety seem to be more potent. The main PNW season is still a little way out so you have some time to read up on the subject
