well it seems like ever time you have post new findings of blue ringers i keep saying i need to come out to seattle and pick but i never do, so i'll say it again. I need to come out and look around seattle, i miss the hunt! P.S. One question MJ, i have never really picked stuntzii this time of the year and i was wondering if they are just back to lawns or if they will still be found in mulch?

In twenty-five yearso fpicking, I have only one time found a patch of P. stuntzii oin mulch on Phinney street across from the zoo in the end of march. The mulch was freshly laid and the spores mut have been in the two feet of top soil put into the ground before they mulched the garden. However, if we have no freeze and extreme cold then blue ringers can grow well on manicured lawns which hav e a weekly lawn serivice, fresh fertilizers on a weekly basis and water sprinklers to water the lawns. For about ten years, many businesses have stopped using their sprinkler systems to preserve water.
And many pastures which use to bring srhooms everywhere are slowly disappearing to technology and futured industrielle growth in surburban areas.
