Do you get "used to" brands of deodorant?

I know a lot of people at The Shroomery are hippies and don't wear antiperspirant deodorant, but I do.

I think I must have used my brand of deodorant (Old Spice) too much because it doesn't work anymore. I used to used the soft solid deodorant then my pits started sweating. Gel had worked better before that, so I tried it again.. Same thing... gross sweaty pits.

I'm guessing I've just build up a tolerance to the antiperspirant compund that Old Spice uses.

I think I'm going to be switching brands soon.

With the 90ºF+ temps and 40%+ humidity that we've been having lately, I need some stuff that works. Armpits smell gross and pit stains are unacceptable.

What deodorant (with antiperspirant, I need it) do you use? I want something that works well and doesn't smell... girly.

I use arm and hammer active sport?
What ever the not original scent is
I know what you mean by getting use to them
Its working very well for me
And my gf is a freak and loves the smell
more than my victorias secret cologne

i use gillete cool wave gel.  it smells good, but thats about it.

Last time I tried the Gillette gel it worked well, I think I'm going to switch to that.

I've always used Old Spice.  And it's summer, I'm sweating all the time.  In the summer it's mainly to smell good.  :wink:

I have to switch back and forth between Old Spice and Gillette solid.  I work in a non-air-conditioned shop so I sweat all day long.  I heard Mitchum is pretty good.

man thats fucking weird, once again someone made a post i was going to make before i made it.

it seems like when i put deodorant/anti persperant on i sweat more than when i dont. i wouldnt put it on if my pits didnt stink.

No way man, but it's enough to make me stink. I'm in Jersey now.

I'm used to Georgia humidity and temps which is more like 98ºF+ and 70%+ humidity. This isn't that bad, but I still sweat like it's my job. :frown:

Well, antiperspirants contain aluminum that you absorb through your skin. There has been a quite significant link to Alzheimer's disease and the amount of aluminum found in the brain.

Perhaps it causes it, perhaps it doesn't. All I know is that I'm sweaty and stinky now and antiperspirants work to cure that. Hopefully they have a cure for Alzheimer's by the time I get it (I'm genetically predisposed to it anyway).

well, RedSpice tests on animals, so I'm not into it very much, but I use some all day sports brand, and it works well.

I use the last solid clear deodorant on the market. It's called Right Guard Clear and Solid. Works better than anyhting i have ever tried. I can't use gel, because i guess im alergic to somthing in the mix.
