Simon Posford - a Titan among mere mortals.

Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake.

Yes, it's nice, but there's 10 other songs, at least, that define Shpongle. :tongue2:

Shpongle is an album experience IM(notso)HO, you should find some full albums and download them...each album is a journey...the songs on their own do less for me than they do in the context of the whole album.

Divine Moments of Truth is one of my favorites.

The first track from the second album is beautiful.

And that whole "Nothing is lost" arc on the album of the same name is pretty mind-boggling.

I'm with OMR.  I don't really have favorite songs, per se.  I usually say "yeah, man like 32 minutes in, where the universe's love tentacles were wrapping around everything and then Posford drops in his alien bass line...."

Yeah, especially Nothing Lasts. I have no idea what the various songs are called. All I can tell you is the one part where he turns my brain into a jet fighter rocketing through the stratosphere and then lands in a Peruvian jungle is one of my favorites.

I'm pretty sure that album travels through every single ecosystem in the universe at some point or other.

Hmm...okay you may have gotten one of the few Simon missed this go-around but I guess he has to leave himself some future territory to explore he can't blow his load all at once. But now I fully expect the sound of gridiron collisions from his next record.
