I explored some tunnels from a hospital in NYC. I found all kinds of old beds and equipment thats prolly been down there  forever. I even found a used vial of Lysergamide, though, I unfortunately didn't get to keep it. Have fun and be safe.

Yeah Ive heard stories that our Uni has tunnels too.

I always assumed it was just what they ran all the network cable / wiring through.

I was working for a company that inventories hospital supplies and meds. Ramdomly they would search us to make sure we weren't stealing. So I didn't want to go to jail for stealing and possesion of a sched 1. Sucks too because we didn't get searched for that job and there's no way I could have found it again. It would have been a nice piece of nostalgia.

I hated FL for a long time until I moved away and found out it's not that bad. I grew up in WI.....that place blows. I lived in NM and I really liked the people and lifestyle there. I am in the NoVA area and it blows just as bad as WI. FL ftw.

Lots of schools have tunnels under the main buildings. Mostly steam pipes for the heating of the old buildings. Nowadays most of them have motion sensors or alarms so that when kids access them, the DPS knows exactly where to aprehend them. Every year a couple of kids would be caught inside the tunnels at my university.

how you like NoVA?  I'm headin out to Springfield on sunday...been in DC for like 9weeks now.  I like it here (I live a few hours south, in Norfolk)

I hate it. The only reason I'm still here is because I love the company I work for. I am used to having the beach and nightlife. It's a very nice area, but, if you don't drive a beamer or benz then you are looked down upon. It's hard to find like-minded individuals here. I'm sure DC is a lil different, though, I rarely venture that way because I don't want to come out of the club and find my car got stolen.

haha.  yeah DC is ghetto in most of the quadrants, except NW, which is relatively nice (key: relatively).

There's a nice night life here @ Georgetown on M street - and it's upscale so there's hardly any crime.  Only bad part is the people are very stuck-up and douchey.  Not too many stoners/hippies/etc to be found.

I know, I'm used to just talking to anyone I meet back home and asking them if they smoke with the response being "not cigs." Everyone back in FL was so open about partying and here it seems like if you just bring up the subject, you're either a junky or a narc. Where are my people at?!?!?

NoVA sucks. I live in Richmond, but I was born in Norfolk.

But yeah, Northern VA sucks, real hard. I fucking hate going up there, unless it's to someplace laid back like Winchester area. Fairfax county can suck my dick.

i have lived in south florida my whole life, and i hate it down there. central florida is where its at.  so much nicer here.

I love Richmond man. Just as long as you stay out of the bad neighborhoods it's actually a very safe place to be. A shitload of history and well kept up areas.

The new city revitalization is pretty awesome too. People are turning shitty neighborhoods around and restoring historic housing left and right. It's quite a nice thing to see.

Just stay out of the 22nd to 28th street area. That's where 90% of the gun violence seems to occur in the city.

I lived in Tampa/St Pete....Clearwater actually and it was perty nice. Tampa sucks, but is a fun place to party. I lived in Naples for a couple years and that sucked too. I have to agree with you. South Central FL is where it's at.

I used to go to Belle Isle almost every day a few years ago. These days it's way too popular and douche bags keep breaking glass on the rocks. Also there are a SHITLOAD of cops there now, especially after a jogger got attacked on one of the trails a few weeks ago. And there's no possible way to have a camp fire anywhere around that area without getting in trouble.

We just found a new spot about 2 miles upstream from Belle Isle. It's a lot cleaner water and there's an island you can walk out to. No chance of police going out that far so we can do whatever we want. And it's so secluded that I've only seen 20 people there total aside from my friends and I've been there 3 times in the past week. We actually met some people last night that were camping out there, that's how secluded and badass it is.

Belle Isle is pretty cool on the historic standpoint, with Tredgar Ironworks, the Civil War prisoner camps, etc... but there are much better places to chill on the river.
